Creating an environment at our schools where all our students can reach their academic potential has always been a priority for the Walnut Creek Education Foundation. The success of WCEF begins with a commitment from all of our families. Your donation in any amount will enable our foundation to move beyond just “bridging the gap” in funding and allow our schools to reach for excellence. We all must step up and participate at whatever giving level we can to help ensure that the necessary funding is available for the programs and staff our children deserve.
This year the Walnut Creek Education Foundation will again ask for $300 per child with a suggested donation of $600 per family. For some families this donation amount is not easy, for some it is impossible. Giving what you can is the most important thing. There are payment plans available if it is easier to spread your donation out over time. Many families find that $60 over ten months is much more manageable. We will also continue our “Sponsor a Child” program. We know that there are many families in our community who have been hit especially hard in the past three years as the economy has struggled to rebound. For an additional $300 you can give the gift of education to a child whose family may not be able to contribute this year. Look for this option on the donation form.
New to WCEF this year is the formation of the WCEF Scholar Circle. As a Scholar Circle donor, you will be part of a select group of parent and community donors who commit to maintaining the quality education in our outstanding schools by giving at an exceptional level. The generosity of our Scholar Circle donors will inspire others in our community to give as well.
