WCEF ANNUAL GIVING APPEAL FOR 2018-19.
BECAUSE GREAT SCHOOLS DON'T JUST HAPPEN.
You asked. We answered. We want more for our students. We want 36 weeks of instruction in art, music, science, technology, library materials, online databases. We want specialized math help, academic support for middle schoolers, we want more choice and greater access to electives and a focus on wellness for our students at Las Lomas High School. That also comes at a cost since state funding is inadequate. WCEF's Annual Giving Campaign is when we ask each and every family to donate to WCEF. We begin the campaign during the registration process in August and run until June 30, 2019 to raise the $1.2 million the WCEF Board promised to our school districts for salaries and programs your student is benefiting from every day in the classroom. $1.2 million is an additional $200,000 for our schools from 2017-18. To learn more about what your donations fund, download our 2018-19 brochure here.

Our Mission

The Walnut Creek Education Foundation raises funds to preserve and enhance the education of students in the Walnut Creek School District and at Las Lomas High School through a broad-based community effort. Our annual budget is developed collaboratively with the schools we support through a yearly prioritization process and in accordance with our funding guidelines. WCEF steps in where state funding leaves off, preserving the world-class educational opportunities our kids need and deserve. Nearly ninety percent of the funds we raise go directly to the schools we serve.
From Our Community: Why I Donate to WCEF
Picture
I donate to WCEF because I believe that the educational programs funded by WCEF truly help our children to reach their full potential. Our young people will need to succeed in a global economy, and my contribution to WCEF supports the training and curriculum they’ll need in the future.

I donate to WCEF because every dollar contributed directly supports every student in the Walnut Creek School District and at Las Lomas High School with programs that would otherwise be unavailable at current government funding levels.

I donate to WCEF because it means I can actively contribute to my kids’ education—and to making the Walnut Creek School District an even more enriching, supportive and safe place to learn.

I donate to WCEF because I see it as part of my public school “tuition,” which helps ensure that essential programs like Art, Music, P.E. and Science Lab remain part of the curriculum.
