Welcome!

The Walnut Creek Education Foundation K-12 (WCEF K-12) is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization. WCEF K-12 was established in 2005 as the result of a merger between the Walnut Creek Education Foundation (WCEF) and the Las Lomas Foundation (LLF). This was a natural progression in order to maximize fundraising efforts as both foundations had been successfully serving our community schools since 1988.

WCEF K-12 Mission Statement
To actively support and enhance the education of each child in the Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas High School, and to encourage the entire community to participate in realizing this mission.

Working in partnership with the Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas High School, WCEF K-12 steps in where state funding leaves off, preserving the world-class educational opportunities our kids deserve and need.

WCEF K-12 is comprised of dedicated parents and community members who believe in our mission and believe that our children and schools are our community's greatest assets. Each school within the Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas High School is represented on our Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Every aspect of our fundraising efforts is performed by dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who bring a multitude of talents and skills to their assigned tasks. More than ninety percent of the monies we raise from parent donors, non-parent contributors and business sponsors go directly to the schools we serve.

Our annual budget is developed collaboratively with the Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas High School through a yearly prioritization process and in accordance with our funding guidelines. The budget serves as the basis for our annual fundraising goal.
